The recent trend towards more regionality is also the focus of the new project "Schladming-Dachstein Genusspartner". The aim is to significantly increase the use of regional food in the region's accommodation and catering establishments. "In addition, it is important for us to position Schladming-Dachstein on the market as a culinary experience region," explains Schattleitner, who wants to get as many partners on board as possible: "Only if all the players in the value chain work together we can generate added value for agriculture, the tourism businesses and for the entire holiday region."

The project, supported by the Styrian LEADER programme for the promotion of regional development, offers numerous advantages for food producers as well as for accommodation and catering establishments. All participating businesses receive free certification with the AMA Genuss Region seal. The participating partners are presented on an online platform. In addition, they benefit from advertising on various channels of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Region, including on its website, at trade fairs, in newsletters, on social media platforms and in press and public relations work.
