The situation on the Dachstein Glacier is a very dynamic one. Due to glacier crevasses, skiing is impossible in autumn and extensive technical adaptations to the glacier lifts would also be necessary for winter operation.

For this reason, there will be no Alpine skiing on the Dachstein glacier in the autumn-winter of 2022/23.

This would be irresponsible towards nature, as well as with regard to economic aspects. Activities such as winter hiking, ski touring, cross-country skiing and refreshments in the glacier restaurant will still be possible on the Dachstein Glacier, and above all the magnificent panoramic experience is and will remain the most impressive holiday memory. With regard to skiing operations for the winter of 2023/24, the situation will be reviewed at the beginning of 2023.
