They are indisputably among the best singer/songwriters in Canada: Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac, known as Madison Violet. And they are certainly among the world's busiest artists in terms of concerts and tours.
Since the beginning of the millennium they have been almost continuously "on the road" - 200 concerts per year are more the rule than the exception. When the duo, which has won several awards or been nominated for prestigious awards such as Canada's Juno Award, is not on stage, enchanting audiences with their songs that alternate between alternative country, folk, bluegrass and acoustic pop and their unbeatable charm, Madison Violet is recording new songs.
The beauty, indeed the class, of music these days can be measured less than ever by sales figures. If we exclude the Taylor Swifts and Kanye Wests of this world, musicians, regardless of genre, are required to no longer rely solely on the profits from their commercially released songs and albums, but to go on concert tours and connect more directly with their fans.
This brings us to the Canadian duo Madison Violet. Since their formation 19 years ago, Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac, who share vocals, guitar playing and songwriting almost sisterly, have made it their doctrine to travel the world with their songs.
